Fight for Fitness teams will set goals for physical activity (moderate encouraged), choose activities they enjoy, attend educational sessions and receive information about physical activity. Some healthy competition through a number of optional challenges and a point system provide incentives. Examples include:
- Weight loss – 5 points per lb.
- Blood Pressure – 3 points per point
- Cholesterol – 3 points per point
- Exercising – 2 point every minute
- Wellness Lunch N Learn – 30 points
- Taking the stairs – 1 point
The program mission is to enrich and prolong the lives of our employees by providing tools necessary to lead healthier lives and to form a peer network for support and encouragement to help employees reach their personal health goals.
The first team challenge will start on June 22nd. The schedule of challenges is as follows:
- June 22-July 5 – "Pay it Forward Challenge"
- July 6-July 19 – "No Fast Food Challenge"
- July 20-August 2- "Physical Activity Challenge"
- August 3-August 16- "No Soda Challenge"
- August 17-August 30- "No Sugar Challenge"
- August 31-September 11- "Water Challenge"
- June 15-September 11- "Walk to Vegas Challenge"
- July 1-September 11-"Biggest Loser Challenge"
