Knoxville, TN: National student loan servicer, Edfinancial Services, welcomes Paul Wright as client marketing manager for Texas, Louisiana and Arizona effective immediately. Previously region vice president with FinanSure, Wright brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him to Edfinancial Services. He reports directly to Billy Houston, senior vice president and chief strategic officer.
“When looking for someone to represent Edfinancial Services in the SWASFAA region, I wanted someone who had industry knowledge and had local market relationships,” says Houston. “In Paul Wright, we hired someone to fill that bill and who is a true friend of many. His experience in the industry will help Edfinancial Services’ clients in their processing needs.”
Wright has 13 years of experience in business development and marketing in banking and financial aid. Prior to his tenure with FinanSure, Wright was vice president and student loan line of business manager for Compass Bank in Birmingham, Alabama. Before that, he was with Frost Bank Student Lending in San Antonio, Texas. Wright has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a past president of the Association of Texas Lenders for Education (ATLE) and is active in the Texas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (TASFAA), currently serving on the training committee.
