How To Apply

Federal Student Loans

To apply for federal student loans, you must first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can get the FAFSA from your high school counselor or the school you plan to attend. You may also apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Once the financial aid application process has been completed, you will receive an award letter from the financial aid office. This notification details your financial aid package. It may consist of grants, loans, work-study, or scholarships.

If your chosen college or university participates in an electronic loan application process, your school will provide you with instructions for applying online. To apply online with an Edfinancial Services lender, select your loan type below:

Federal Stafford Loan

Federal PLUS (parent) Loan

Federal Graduate Student PLUS Loan

If your school uses a standard loan process, just obtain a Master Promissory Note (MPN) from your school or from Edfinancial. Carefully read all sections of the MPN, especially the Borrower's Rights and Responsibilities section. Sign and date the MPN, return it to your lender, and keep your copy for your records.

Private Student Loans

Private loans can also be obtained to cover education expenses.  You should maximize your federal student loan eligibility before applying for private loans.
