Edfinancial Services is very excited to welcome IDAPP borrowers into our family! We've created this page especially for you to help you navigate the loan transfer process and learn more about our company. We will also use this page to provide periodic updates on the status of the IDAPP loan transfer. Please check out the information below, explore our website, and contact us if you have any questions.

What to expect


Before your loan is transferred:

The transfer of IDAPP loans to Edfinancial Services will begin in April 2010 and should be complete by early May 2010. Once your loan transfer is complete, you will have full access to our various account tools, such as online payment and electronic billing. Until the time your loan is added to our system, Edfinancial Services will have a limited amount of information available regarding your student loan account. You will receive a letter from Edfinancial Services at the time of loan transfer welcoming you to our company and explaining more about our services.

After your loan is added to our system:

You will receive a new Edfinancial Services account number, and your previous IDAPP account number will no longer be used. You will also receive monthly billing statements from Edfinancial Services approximately 20 days before your due date. If you need to update your mailing address, phone number, or email address, you can send us your information by completing this form on our website. If you would prefer to receive your monthly billing statements electronically, you may sign up for eBilling through our online payment system.

If you would like to pay by automatic debit:

You can sign up to have your monthly student loan payment automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account each month by completing this automatic debit form and returning it to us. You may submit this form before your loan is added to our system.  If you do not yet have an Edfinancial account number, please leave that field blank on the form.  We will apply automatic debit to your account once your loan is transferred to Edfinancial Services. 

If you are enrolled in the automatic payment program with your current servicer, please note that this service will deactivate at the time of transfer. To continue automatic debit payments with Edfinancial, you will need to sign a new ACH agreement with us. You can access our ACH agreement form online or by contacting us directly at 1-800-337-6884.

Payments you sent to IDAPP prior to the transfer of your loan will be applied to your account within one to two business days of your loan being added to the Edfinancial Services system.  Your payment will be posted as of the date that it was received at IDAPP.  Send all future student loan payments to Edfinancial Services, Dept. 888055, Knoxville, TN 37995-8055.
