Health and Wellness

Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance

Edfinancial Services currently offers health, dental, and vision insurance to eligible employees. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee provide the health insurance, Delta Dental provides the dental insurance, and vision insurance is provided by Superior Vision.

Sick/Emergency Benefits

Edfinancial Services provides paid sick/emergency leave benefits to all eligible employees for periods of temporary absence due to illnesses, injuries, or emergency circumstances. Eligible employees accrue sick/emergency leave benefits at the rate of five days per year.

Long Term Disability Insurance

Edfinancial Services provides a disability income benefits program from Lincoln Financial. Benefits begin after short term disability ends and/or after ninety days of disability or illness and continue to the earlier of recovery or your Social Security retirement age.

Health Club Membership

All regular full-time employees are eligible to participate in activities at Fort Sander's Health and Fitness at a discounted rate.

Work/Life Balance Program

At Edfinancial Services, we encourage a healthy balance between family, work, and personal life for our employees whenever possible. It's part of our caring, compassionate, smiling, and energetic philosophy. Depending on your job, compressed workweeks, flextime, job sharing, or part-time employment may be available, subject to your manager's discretion.

Continuing Education

Tuition Reimbursement

Edfinancial Services offers financial assistance for continuing education relevant to your professional development. We will reimburse 100% of the cost of tuition, required textbooks and supplies, and laboratory and graduation fees upon satisfactory completion of a course or receipt of a diploma; however, such costs will only be reimbursed in an amount equal to the lesser of actual cost or the amount of such costs for the same or most nearly comparable course and items at the Tennessee public educational institution having the highest cost for such items. Total reimbursement may not exceed $4,000 per year. Full-time employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement after one year of employment with Edfinancial Services. You must be on Edfinancial's payroll during the full period of the course in order to receive financial assistance. Part-time employees are not eligible for this benefit.

All courses of study must be approved by management.
Life Insurance Benefits

Life and Accidental Death Insurance

Edfinancial Services provides Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance to all eligible employees at no additional cost. This benefit includes a flat rate of $50,000.00 of life insurance, and the AD&D benefit matches the Basic Life benefit.

Edfinancial Services will pay the premium for all employees accepted for coverage. You may elect to provide additional coverage for yourself, your spouse, and your dependents at your own cost.

Retirement Benefits

401(k) Plan

The Edfinancial Services 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan offers a convenient way to save for your future with pre-tax dollars. You will be eligible to enroll in the retirement plan on your date of hire. Edfinancial Services will match your contributions dollar for dollar up to the first 5% of your gross salary. The maximum contribution allowed per year is $18,500, and if you are 50 years of age or older, (or if you will reach 50 by the end of the year), you may make a catch-up deduction of $6,000.

You are 100% vested on the value of your contributions and the value of Edfinancial's contributions.

Supplemental Benefits

Short Term Disability

Edfinancial Services currently offers short-term disability. Short-term disability covers 60% of weekly pre-disability earnings – up to a $500 weekly maximum. Benefits begin on the 15th day of injury or illness and continue to the earlier of recovery or 11 weeks.

Accident Insurance

Accident Insurance is offered and can help cover unexpected costs that arise due to an accident, such as ambulance services and emergency room fees. Family coverage is available.

Critical Insurance

Critical Insurance is offered as another way to prepare for the unexpected. If you are diagnosed with a major illness such as heart attack, stroke, coma, paralysis, major organ failure or end-stage renal failure, you can receive a one-time lump sum payment. Family coverage is available.

Flexible Spending Account

Flexible Spending Accounts are offered for eligible employees. Funds are deducted from pay on a pre-tax basis and are deposited into your Health Care and/or Dependent Care FSA. You may then use your funds to pay for eligible health care or dependent care expenses.

Health Savings Account

Health Savings Accounts are offered for eligible employees. A Health Savings Account is a banking arrangement which enables you to pay for current health expenses and save for future qualified medical and retiree health expenses on a tax-free basis.

Vacation Benefits

Vacation time off with pay is available to eligible employees for rest, relaxation, and personal time. The amount of paid vacation you receive each year increases with your length of employment. Vacation time off is paid at your base pay rate at the time of your vacation, not including overtime or any special forms of compensation such as incentives, commissions, bonuses, or shift differentials.

Edfinancial Services also recognizes nine holidays and three discretionary holidays per year.
