Richard Bayer, Student Experience Consultation/One Stop IntegrationRichard Bayer recently retired after 16 years as Assistant Provost of Enrollment Services at the University of Tennessee, a US News and World Report top 50 public university. During his tenure at the University of Tennessee, he had oversight of Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Registrar and the One-Stop Student Services Center. His distinguished career included being a faculty member at Vanderbilt University's Peabody Professional Institute for Senior Academic and Enrollment Services Professionals from 2012-2013. Richard also served from 2011-2014 on the Division of Undergraduate Education for the National Science Foundation S-STEM program evaluation committee. He has published articles in the SACRAO Journal and the National Symposium on Student Retention. In addition to serving numerous state, regional and national associations, Richard was the state representative for Tennessee to ACT, Inc. from 2009-2015. He has given numerous presentations at national conferences such as AACRAO, CSRDE, SEM, ACT Enrollment Management Conference, NACAC and NACUBO (ISSP).

As a member of the Edamerica Consulting Division, Richard brings front line expertise to the creation and launch of successful One Stop Student Services Centers - combining the core services of the Admissions, Registrar, Bursar, and Financial Aid Offices. His work with the University of Tennessee One-Stop was recognized as one of the components of the "Most Visible Progress" Trailblazer Award presented to the University of Tennessee by the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities in 2014. The award encourages colleges and universities to make retention and graduation a high priority by rewarding and highlighting programs that work.

Prior to his position at the University of Tennessee, Richard served as University Registrar at the University of South Carolina and George Mason University. Prior to George Mason University he worked at UNC Charlotte from 1987-1990, and the SUNY system, 1979-87.
